MT OLYMPUS
Los Angeles, 2022
At some point, we started thinking of this project as an ancient Greek temple. Perhaps it had to do with its location, in the Eagle Rock foothills, up a long set of stairs at the top of a steep lot. Or it could have been the fluted motif that runs throughout the project — the fireplace tile, the delicate pendant, even the ripple-fold curtains backlit by the morning light.
Whatever the reason, we think it fits: an airy, light-filled temple on a hill, lime wash and travertine and a truly epic kitchen window, framing the garden.
