At once a labor of love, a manifesto, and an apprenticeship, Abbott Hill House helped form Project Room’s spacial and domestic perspective.

Built on a vacant lot in Highland Park and completed in 2019, the net-zero house features monolithic plywood, graphic color, and a comfortable, human scale.

It’s also Project Room principal Isaac Resnikoff’s home and, as such, a continuing site of research, product testing, and inspiration. We worked with (and learned from) Milwaukee-based architects-and-in-laws Louis Wasserman & Associates as both active clients and collaborators, responsible for interiors, permitting, construction administration, net-zero design and custom furniture.
